El Nido: choose a base before choosing a boat route

El Nido is a practical base for lagoon and island outings. Treat arrival, boat days and onward transfers as separate parts of your plan.

Getting to your base

Compare arrival into El Nido with a road transfer from Puerto Princesa. The latter is a substantial overland journey, not a short airport transfer. Confirm the exact arrival point and onward transport to your accommodation before committing to a boat departure.

A suggested three-day stay

Use the first day to arrive and confirm tomorrow’s meeting point. Choose one island route for the second day, then keep day three flexible for another outing or rest. Add transfer time outside these sightseeing days where possible.

Choosing between boat routes

Compare the actual stops and restrictions of Tour A, Tour B and combination options. A speedboat itinerary is not automatically a better match for your group. Ask which lagoon permits, equipment and local charges are included.

Continuing to Coron

The connection to Coron is a sea journey. Verify your chosen service directly and allow flexibility for weather-related disruption. Avoid an essential onward flight immediately after the sea crossing. An organized multi-day island expedition is a separate product with its own lodging and luggage arrangements.
