Build your stay around one main activity per day, with space for sea conditions and the journey home.

Choose a base before your tours

General Luna is associated with Siargao's surfing scene and island outings. Check the exact location of your accommodation against the pickup zones of your chosen activities. Staying farther away can be appealing, but establish the transport plan before committing to an early departure.

Surfing is one part of the island

The wider area offers island trips and lagoon or cave excursions as well as surfing. Naked, Daku and Guyam are common island-hopping names. Treat a Sohoton outing as its own excursion: check where it leaves, how much travel it involves and what the selected option includes.

Match lessons to your experience

If you are new to surfing, choose an instructed beginner session and let the instructor choose suitable conditions. A famous surf spot is not automatically the right place for a first lesson. Confirm board provision, transport and the policy when conditions change.

Keep plans weather-flexible

Avoid placing your only must-do sea activity on the last available day. Pack sun protection, water, a dry bag and footwear appropriate to the activity. Leave a separate buffer for onward travel, and confirm meeting arrangements directly from your booking rather than relying on a general island itinerary.
